Hayling Island is an attractive small Island connected to the mainland via a bridge. It has a very pleasant micro-climate due to it's location protected from the South Atlantic storms by the hills of the Isle Of Wight to the SW and the South Downs to the North. It can be raining with black clouds in Portsmouth and sunny on Hayling Island.

The island is surrounded by two large natural mudflat harbours on each side (Langstone and Chichester harbours).

It's a great place for bird watching, photography, cycling and peaceful walks. In contrast it is also a centre of excellence for sailing and adrenaline water-sports including Windsurfing and Kite-Surfing.  It's an Island of pleasant compatible contrasts.
